The Blockchain In Africa (Part one-Zimbabwe)

Abstract/Summary!

Zimbabwe is a small Southern African nation with vast arable lands with agriculture being a huge part of its economy. However since the revolutionary land reform/resettlement program that saw the black majority receiving redistributed fertile farming lands, the transition did not come without its challenges as food and livestock production lowered. The nation is now on a road to recovery as it looks to become Africa’s food basket again, i am writing this paper to play my role as a citizen of Zimbabwe by using some of the world’s greatest technologies and placing them in current farming/agricultural systems.

This paper outlines the basics of how to use blockchain based technology in existing farming inputs schemes, introduced by the government , NGO’s and the private sector to bring the country and other African nations into producing more food and livestock as well as exporting to other markets.
