The Brainwallet

Sam nervously looked around his home, memorizing the details. The bitcoin wallet that he had painstakingly constructed with a computer programmer friend was on the nightstand next to him and would be his only lifeline out of this country. He reached over and grabbed it, walking over to an old dresser in the corner and looking in the mirror.

"Get in my brain," he whispered to himself, before shoving some clothes into a bag for their escape later tonight.

Sam awoke to a flurry of gunshots and the sounds of shouting men. He blinked his eyes open, realizing that he was sitting in a dark room with cold concrete flooring. Wincing as he felt something sharp poking into his backside, Sam slowly rose to his feet feeling woozy from whatever they had injected him with. Pulling himself up by the bars at the front of the cell, Sam tried to focus on anything that could help him escape here but found nothing at all. Looking out between two bars that allowed him still small view into another part of the large warehouse-like building, Sam spotted other people being herded off in groups by soldiers holding machine guns. The only thing worse than being stuck behind these bars is knowing that he still had the key to hundreds of Bitcoin tucked away in his memory, which would be forever lost.

He would never be able to use this bitcoin to start a new life with his family, or so he thought...
