This just might be one of the most exciting things happening at the moment in Crypto. A hidden treasure (Digital Wallet) is hidden and any of us can hunt for the treasure by following clues to finally build the Private key to the wallet.
A cryptic message was broadcasted on the Blockstream satellite network announcing the treasure hunt for the $1 million treasure chest. The challenge will become more difficult as the game progresses and it would probably be good to form teams as the clues are hidden across the world.
The message began with the following:
“If you are reading this, something has led you to search for things which bring excitement to an otherwise predictable world.”
The hunt started yesterday and the first three keys is up for grabs if you can solve the clues provided.
and further:
“The treasure which will belong to the most successful Hunters and their clan is neither gold, nor jewels, nor pieces of worthless paper that pass for money in this sad age; instead it is Bitcoin, a digital treasure forged from deep mathematical truths, in an amount equal to 1 million USD,” stated the message.
The treasure hunters will need to be worthy to claim the treasure according to the message:
“What you are reading is the first clue in a grand Hunt. It is not the first Hunt, nor of course will it be the last one, but the hunt is MINE, and so it is to me that you must prove yourself.”
The message claims that the treasure is within a Bitcoin address and those that can solve the Private key will gain irrevocable access to the treasure.
“I have shattered this Bitcoin treasure into one thousand pieces, using the splitting magic of the wizard Shamir. To reassemble it, you or your clan must find exactly four hundred of the pieces, and meld them back together using Shamir’s spell of recombination. Once you have done so, the treasure will be irrevocably yours.”

In short the algorithm allows a message to be broken into pieces and then reassembled. To solve this specific algorithm we will need 400 of the 1000 keys to build the Private Key for the wallet.

The message further explains that all that is needed is some domain knowledge, the ability to travel as well as physical strength and fitness.
“Some keys will require deep knowledge of a certain subject–others will simply require the ability to travel to remote locations, or perform feats of strength. The difficulty will increase until I am satisfied that I’ve found a group of hunters worthy of taking the prize,” the broadcast continued.
The first three keays are available to anyone that can travel to these GPS coordinates.
Finaly here is the last part of the message:
“To test the resolve, courage, intelligence and savvy of would-be hunters, I will provide clues to the locations of these thousand key fragments at satoshistreasure.xyz every so often,” added the broadcast.
