The Siberian rubythroat (Calliope calliope)
Little thin nightingale. During the nesting period, his tail is always pulled up, and the nightingale itself is not particularly timid.
I noticed this buddy on this photo among the foliage in the bushes, he even flew closer to me and began to sing a song very loudly. Surprisingly, such a small bird, but so loud! As you can see, he was so close that he did not even fit into the frame 😀
He is a great singer! In his songs I could recognize the voices of several birds, the metal ringing of a bell, and the car alarm.
And in this photo is a female. As you can see, sexual dimorphism is pronounced. Females do not have that beautiful red spot on their throats, thanks to which this species of birds got its name.
