Perdí mi cuerpo es una película de animación con un tema existencial de gran profundidad. El guion es la adaptación de una novela del escritor del escritor francés, Guillaume Laurant, el mismo creador de la sensible y romántica película Amélie (2001). Perdí mi cuerpo (2019) dirigida por el cineasta Jérémy Clapin, ganadora en el festival de cine en Cannes y escogida por el público como la mejor película de animación del año participando es esta categoría en su nominación al Óscar.

Lo hemos visto en el papel de Jamal el joven protagonista de la galardonada “¿Quieres ser millonario?” (2008); “El hombre que conocía el infinito” (2015) en el papel del genio matemático que le toca vivir en una época llena de prejuicios étnicos o “El nuevo exótico Hotel Marigold” (2011) una comedia llena de reconocidas estrellas y que nos regala romance, humor y un camino de introspección.

En Perdí mi cuerpo, Dev Patel, es la voz de Naoufel, el joven protagonista que lleva una vida triste y monótona hasta el momento en que conoce a Gabrielle, Alia Shawkat, una chica que trabaja como auxiliar de biblioteca, de una personalidad decidida y solidaria.

La mano es la protagonista principal que a lo largo del rodaje nos lleva por el submundo parisense en la búsqueda de su cuerpo, entre de miedos, ternuras, riesgos el director logra conectarnos con sus emociones.

Con gran destreza técnica el director, concadena cada parte, dándole sentido y coherencia a la trama que al inicio se presenta un poco confusa, llena de expectativas e intriga.

Es un mundo de recuerdos y añoranzas de un pasado que se diluyó en la tragedia, un presente marcado con el fracaso de lo que se quería ser y no fue, el desencuentro consigo mismo. El amor surge como fuente de inspiración, al tiempo, que va definiendo aquello que se necesita soltar para abrir el campo de las posibilidades.

La mosca es realmente significativa, un símbolo de premonición, la anunciación de la tragedia y que nos acompaña en diversos momentos de la película. El autor nos invita a escuchar, no palabras concretas, sonidos representativos de las vivencias, de aquello que va dejando huella y que te lleva a recrearlo.

La mano, en la búsqueda de su cuerpo, es increíblemente expresiva, logras conectar con cada una de las emociones y sentimientos que desea transmitir, haciéndonos partícipe de una vivencia extraña, definitivamente es la esencia del lenguaje y la comunicación. A lo largo de la película, la mano, al igual que su dueño, pasan por diversas situaciones y el director consigue, magistralmente, captar el talante de ambos recogiendo claramente la idea de seres integrales que somos, que cada parte nuestra es tan propia y única que sólo pertenece a su dueño.

Por otra parte, es una historia de amor. El amor como elemento transformador y vivificador que en ocasiones nos lleva a cuestionar la idea del destino. Esta es la esencia de la película, el autor nos regala la siguiente frase:
