Naked Face Brewing: The Holy Gose
If I have ever seen a confusing BEER this one must take the cake. You will not that it says with Cape Figs on the front of the can.
Under ingredients, they talk abut pineapple and pink pepper, not a mention of figs???
Further it says brewed at Frontier Brewery and at the back it says Naked Face Brewery
This BEER is named the The Holy Gose. A GOSE beer is an unfiltered beer made of 50 to 60% wheat. This Beer does look hazy and it has wheat on the ingredient list, thus I suppose it is a GOSE.
The BEER comes in a 330ml can and has 5% alcohol.
The Beer does have a pink color, if it is from Pink Pepper or from the pink inside of a nice juicy fig, I will not be able to say.
The head is almost non-existent!!
The taste is however not bad, but not great - I would say it is ok, or average, not a BEER that I would go and look for to buy.
I however like the fact that the small craft breweries do try to brew something different and this one is different for sure.
