Beach Wednesday Edition 7 - Koh Samui, Chaweng Lake.

While we were in Koh Samui four years ago we also took the time to visit the Chaweng Lake which at that time was still under construction but I would say 90% of this huge man made lake had been completed . It was built for the reason, so locals could have a nice green area to go and relax, sit on a beach seat under one of those huge trees enjoy reading your book or have a snooze.

Is also a lake where dogs are welcomed the owners would be there walking there dogs and the dogs seem to love the social interactions either with the other dogs on the walk or other humans, which kept a smile on everyone's face. There were some awesome looking dogs to be seen there.

This little fella had done his 10 laps around the lake in his running socks, it was time for a break to catch his breath.

The lake was man made in the perfect location on one side you have the shopping area and over the other side of the lake was what they called Soi Reggae, where you would find beer bars and the famous Reggae Pub was great for a beer and a steak.

This is the largest inland freshwater lake built on this island and I do think construction would have been completed by now, it was certainly a beautiful lake to sit by especially in the evenings when the sun was falling behind them mountains reflecting the beauty of the sky across the lake was really amazing to see these sunsets.
