Putting BC into another lockdown just when spring weather promises to stimulate business in all facilities that serve the socially active public was as predictable as the sunrise. Why would the power addict who dictates the unconstitutional, unlawful, North Korea-like lockdown regime to us all, why would Bonnie Henry let go of her absolute power? She has been an insignificant little desk jockey all of her career but now she is the absolute dictator of BC. The taste of power must be so intoxicating. She can shut down every business and school and university any time on any whim and not even give any reason that makes any sense. She can tell us that it will be temporary and that this will be absolutely the last territorial demand on our Charter guaranteed rights. Why in the sane world should I believe her, why should you or anybody believe her? There’ll be another “wave”, another “variant”, more “cases” as justified by a PCR so-called “test” which thousands of reputable scientists and doctors world wide have told us all is completely worthless and bogus.
This outrage has nothing whatsoever to do with anybody’s health, much less with science. It’s all about power. Illegal, unconstitutional, absolute power. The governments of BC, Quebec, Ontario and Alberta especially have smelt the whiff of power too and so has our federal government, or more specifically, the Office of the Prime Minister headed by a blow-up punch-dummy clown called Justin Trudeau. All of these governments are pretending to be dutifully following the World Health Organization and its puffed-up commissars like Bonnie Henry and Theresa Tam. These ridiculous little bureaucrats have shown the way to the Promise Land of absolute power that Canadian politicos hardly dared to dream of before Covid came along. Now a precedent has been established. The whole nation is meekly complying to anything and everything, to being masked, fined, threatened, harassed by police officers (who know very well they are being ordered to violate their oath of loyalty to our constitution and hate what they now do), clapped into “quarantine”, driven to bankruptcy, driven in unmarked vans to secret locations … there’s no limit to what our people will do because Simon says Do It. What a revelation it has been to our governments! They’re sure to be re-elected too, so polite and meek and compliant and believing as we all seem to be.
There should be a Loyal Opposition in our parliaments federal and provincial but there isn’t. The opposition parties seem to think they have the option to oppose or not oppose the government as their personal beliefs may allow. Somebody seems to be required to inform them that they have no such option.
They have the duty to oppose the government. It is a sacred duty. Hello there, Yoo hoo! Conservative Party, Federal NDP. Why do you gutless, brainless derelicts think you are called the Opposition? You have the duty to take the side opposing whatever the government proposes so that there can be a debate in parliament on policy, any and every policy. What do you think you are paid for? What do you think your constituents voted you in for? Who is going to represent opposing public opinion in our parliament if it isn’t you?
Without an Opposition our parliamentary system of government ceases to function and the potential for the Prime Minister’s Office to become an absolute, unchecked dictatorial body is almost instantly realized. Do you, any of you, think that power will ever be relinquished once gained? Don’t be such a fool!
The opposing parties have smelled the heady whiff of power too. They like to see it grow unchecked because some day their own dictator will have the run of the PMO and the absolute power over this country, Charter of Rights and Freedoms be damned.
And all of us are complaisantly imagining that “Covid” will be “over” some day real soon and everything will go back to normal. Really, friends, really? No new “variants”? No new excuses? No new absolute deadlines that, whoops, have to now be extended? Stop dreaming!
Retired Chief Inspector of Police Len Faul, founder and head of Police On Guard For Thee, has a message for us all which we desperately need to hear and act on:

Do your own research. Check alternate media site sources. Listen to other experts, especially those that are being vilified because there’s a reason that governments are vilifying them. Open your eyes to what is being done to you, to our children, to our grandchildren, and to our most vulnerable, our elderly, many of whom put their lives on the line to gain for us these rights and freedoms that we enjoy today. This must not be given away lightly."
