Had a call today from an alleged Westpac rep named Dale. He claimed to be "offshore". Meaning, he was outside Australia. He refused to identify himself beyond these things.
He pressed me to ID myself before he would proceed to the reason for his call
I could but only laugh in his face at the sheer lack of common sense and logic he was lacking. I said to him he could be a scammer trying to find out who i am to then try and perpetrated some sort of ID fraud and steal my info. He assured me he wasnt. I asked him does the person you seek, have a wet ink contract with him or the company he is calling from. He said no, but he works with a company that works "westpac". Oh, i said, so youre NOT FROM Westpac????
Long story short, he wouldnt give me any more details on who he was or the actual company he is with.
Folks, our personal banking info is being shipped amd cargoed to offshore private companies and you would have no idea who you are dealing with half the time. If you write to Your bank, always get the name of a n individual to write to, and be damned sure that if someone calls you yo follow up to your letter that its the person you fucking wrote to in the first place, ONLY THEN will you be able to get true amd open answers from your business dealings. Dont sell your intelligence, your assertiveness and your wits down the river as if its not important to you to lnow whats going on. This is your life, your time, your energy and your private business dealings. Please.....take charge of it responsibly and in a timely assertive and courteous manner and you will be victorious every time over these nefarious highly corrupt financial institutions. Thats all.
