Hello everyone and welcome to my blog at this hour. It is not enough to see but what it is important is to see clearly (seeing the right thing). You may have a big eyes but it is not useful for anything, more or less like a decoration. Seeing clearly in this context is what I'm going to describe as having the potential to see beyond what every other person can see. It is their ability to make something out of nothing. It is their ability to see endless opportunities where some other people are seeing obstacles and hurdles. That is what make the key difference between people who are successful and people who fail. Some of the major products, goods and services that we enjoy across the world today are some people's idea that they created in their head before they put it into what we all use today. I may not be too wrong to say that some people may have conceived the idea too but they couldn't not see clearly so they dumped the idea. It is not only about having an idea but it knowing how to create something out of nothing. There is a popular short story out there that will shed more light on this topic. It is about two people who are into shoe making who traveled to a country where they do not wear shoes. On getting to this country, these two men saw things differently, one saw an opportunity and the other saw an impossibility. The first man saw the opportunity to make lot of sales by introducing shoes to the people of this country by starting with affordable ones. He closed his mind to thinking deeply and his eyes to seeing clearly. Probably he may have took up another business that already have a lot of competitors instead of seeing the gap that his unique business will fill. A lot of people are like this man who does not see the opportunity that stares directly at him in the face. Let's imagine that a jar is filled with oil to the mid-level and it is presented to a number of people, let's say 10, to share what they see. There will be different opinions about the quantity of oil in the jar based on each person's opinion. Some people may be like "the jar is half-full with oil" and some other people may be of the opinion that "the jar is half empty". All the answers may correct either ways but you'd sense some sense of optimism and pessimism in their responses. The are filled with positivity and are always hopeful even when the situation may not be entirely favorable. Whereas, the pessimistic ones can only see the negatives that some part of the jar which could have been filled is missing. The may feel that the part of the jar that is not filled will serve as an impediment, so they may not get to action until the jar is filled with the brim. The question now is that do you see clearly or you just see things on the surface without taking time to explore the opportunities that may be hidden.
