Hello friends, today i want to tell you interesting story and introduce wonderful place of Bangladesh that's name is Alta Dighi (lake) is as strange as his name. This beauty is located in Dhamirhat Bet ,Rajshahi division. There is a wonderful story behind this place that is widely appreciated by people or you can see it by Google.
About 1400 AD, King of this region was the son of Jagannath Jogdal. At that time, water was lacking in the area. It is said that one day the Queen saw in the dream that a large dighi would be required to solve the water problem in that area. According to that, the queen said to the king, "I will walk on foot and I will be walking till my foot bursts out."
As far as I walk you will dig a dighi (lake). Then the queen started walking with her servant. The queen was going away for a walk. The sarvent thought if the queen walk a long distance the king would not be able to dig so high dighies. So, at one stage of the walk, he poured red colouring water(Altaa, uses to leg for design) behind the queens legs , he shouted and cried out ' blood is coming out from your legs. Then queen sat down at the place. King Vishwanath Jagadal excavated the dighi till then. The dighi was named "Altaadighi"
This place is surrounded by the forest, you have to be fascinated. With the wipor is a great mound and a spectacular object.
