She was born on October 5, 1975 in Reading, Berkshire, in the Roger and Sally family. They both worked as actors (but the heights in the career did not reach, and in the intervals between the roles were forced to fake) - this profession was in their family hereditary craft. Two of their other daughters, Bet and Anna, also became actors, although they did not reach such heights as she did. Having felt interest in the scene at the age of eleven, she began to study the basics of acting at Redroofs Theater School and studied there until 1992.
