We know you've all been waiting for this for a long time!
Auctions are now LIVE!
The hive-engine team have worked hard to make sure that the contract was as flexible as possible so artists who wish to run auctions can have options. We have an entire post dedicated to Creating an Auction but here are the basic details:
- Auctions cost 1 BEE to launch (BEE can be swapped on the wallet page)
- Artists can choose to set a timer of 24 hours/2/7/15/30 days
- Artists can set a minimum bid and also a buy it now price
- Artists can choose to settle the auction at any time if they are satisfied with a bid

IMAGE: JPEG, PNG and GIF: Maximum of 30 mb and you will need a 3 mb version for the thumbnail
- if you are tokenizing a gif the thumbnail can also be a gif provided it is below 3mb
MP4: max 100 MB (you will also need a 5 mb thumbnail in MP4 or GIF format)
For MP4 we recommend using H264 codec as that will play reliably in most browsers!
Audio: MP3 or WAV file: maximum of 30 mb and you will need a 3 mb version for the thumbnail
Socials
Each account now has their social media links visible, if these aren't on your page please head the the profile and make sure you have them filled out correctly and update your profile!
While you are there be sure to add and verify your email address for notifications of sales/bids.
You may notice the small PeakD icon, this only appears if you have Portfolio View turned on in your Peakd settings!
To do so head to https://peakd.com/, login and go to your peakd settings, scroll down and click enable portfolio.
Now when you create a new blog post you will have the option in the advanced settings to add one of your blog images to the portfolio, this creates a great visual representation of the blog and allows artists and collectors an additional avenue of exploration. (note* you can also go back and edit old posts and to add images to your portfolio)
