Today I want to share with you a painting that I made for one of the art exhibitions that take place in my city Calabozo in the Edo. Guárico, in homage to a poet of the town Francisco Lazo Martí https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francisco_Lazo_Mart%C3%AD.
This painting is called Passage of a Poet, was made with mixed media, since in it use cold paints, watercolors, colored pencils and markers, on a surface of paper previously worked with white glue and paper napkins, to print texture to the paint.
This painting is an abstract work that represents the thinking and feeling of a poet, in his state of literary creativity, enrumbados towards a world of ideas, illusions and fantasies in which they are immersed, during the time that despite his hand Do not hold your pencil, your ideas have already been written in the role of your life.
It has within itself some landscapes that are inspired by the plain of this Calaboceña land, as well as the red sunsets interspersed with an intense yellow with which the sun of the plain shines. So we also find a contrast of natures, between dry and arid trees with ferns of a spring green, and is that the plain is like this, its soils are flat, arid and almost desert during the intense season of drought, but blooming and beautiful life emerges in the rainiest months, surprisingly of a land that for months was considered sterile where neither the weed grows.
In this last one I am with the painting on the day of the presentation.
