Cette fois ci je reprends le thème du corbeau que j'avais déjà utilisé pour cette sculpture:
This time I take again the theme of the raven that I had already used for this sculpture:
Cela fait un moment que j'ai en tête cette idée de colonne blanche incrustée de symboles floraux, musicaux et également guerriers.
Pour la réaliser j'ai décidé de faire une version moulable et reproductible du corbeau afin de pouvoir l'utiliser dans d'autres situations.
J'ai donc réalisé un prototype par assemblage d'ornements anciens en bronze. Quelques photos de la mise en oeuvre:
It's been a while since I have in mind this idea of white column inlaid with floral , musical and also warlike symbols .
To realize it I decided to make a mouldable and reproducible version of the raven in order to be able to use it in other situations.
So I made a prototype by assembling antique bronze ornaments. Some pictures of the implementation:
J'ai ensuite réalisé les moules des différentes pièces (corps, tête , ailes , pattes , bec) que j'ai ensuite tiré en cire et donné à un fondeur pour qu'il les tire en bronze.
I then made the molds of the different pieces (body, head, wings, legs, beak) that I then pulled out in wax and given to a foundry worker to make them bronze.
Les éléments sont ensuite soudés puis argentés et patinés ainsi que la colonne.
The elements are then welded then silvered and patinated as well as the column.
