Let's hope arsenal keep that formation, it looked so much more natural for the whole team.
I thought laca played decent, but I think it would help if we had a true wide player. It seems like everyone but our fullbacks attack the same way which leads to congestion in the final third.. I think laca would benefit from the space a wide player would create.
Elneny isn't great individually but in his role today he was great. unless we great someone, he needs to stay in that role.
Xhaka played better today, but he still seems unnecessarily sloppy.
Iwobi was at his best today.
Mustafi was really good today, seemed vocal in leading the defense on set pieces, great to see.
still at 199 for Cech is annoying as hell.
Hopefully 3-4-2-1 is binned for good, except for the odd match.
So much better with the extra man in the middle.
If we can fit Aubameyang, Mkhitaryan, Özil and Wilshere in the same team, we could be a frightening side on the break.
Think we won't miss the Sanchez of this season. Sanchez on top form was great for us. Sanchez this season was mostly playing for himself and pissing off everyone else. He got us some goals at the end but his general play was poor. We just weren't moving on either, we were trying to work the team around him. Also I think Sanchez holding onto the ball too much just didn't suit us. He slowed the game down so much, it just allowed everyone to get back in position.
I'm not saying 'O Sanchez is shit, glad he's gone', this was one game and at home too, where we have been better. I just think most of wanted Sanchez to stay if he returned to his best form. I don't think he wanted to do that.
We need more of this though, we need to step up from now until the end of the season. Honestly wouldn't surprise me though if I'm back here wondering why we had a dire 2 - 2 draw with Swansea in a week's time though.
