A worker at a Colorado Home Depot found these adorable baby raccoons hidden inside of a mulch pile. Apparently Mama Raccoon had thought this was a safe, secure place to hide her kits, and it was perfect, until people started purchasing the mulch!
Delighted, the workers did what they could to protect the tiny Trash Pandas of Cuteness from the myriad of shoppers at the home improvement store.
They monitored the situation but after several days, there were no sightings of Mama and the three tiny babies were needing help!
The time for action had come. Local animal control was contacted and the babies were gently removed.
Live traps were set for mama and the family was later reunited and returned to the wild, away from the busy Home Depot.

In a world where we see so much cruelty toward animals, this team effort by the employees of this store restores some of the lost hope in humanity we all feel from time to time.
If that wasn't enough cuteness, this baby was spotted at another Home Depot in Colorado! Maybe Mama Raccoon got word of their kindness out to other Trash Pandas in the state. 😉
