Little Wombat, Tasmania

"Excuse me, can you point me in the direction of the nearest bridge?"
This curious little wombat seemed to be very intrigued by @samhbarnard as he explored the misty trails near Cradle Mountain. While the Cradle region is well known for being home to some of Tassie's most dramatic scenery, did you know it is also one of the best places in the state to spot our local wildlife - particularly wombats? Keep an eye out for these little guys on the buttongrass plains along the road to Dove Lake. Of course, if you aren't able to make it up to Cradle on this trip, there are plenty of other National Parks and wildlife sanctuaries peppered around the state with their own friendly, furry locals just waiting to meet you!
