Cats and poses

I really had a long time without a pet and since this little cat came into my life everything has changed.

I am a faithful believer in cat therapy for stress. Cats as well as other animals have great abilities to recognize through their senses if someone is afraid, happy or sad, approaching when the human requires it to calm that anxiety that overwhelms us so much these days.

Its name is Tumi whose meaning is that of a ceremonial knife used by the Moche civilization before the Incas.

The name was chosen because of some peculiar facts before the adoption of this kitten, which I will explain in a simple and practical way.

In Venezuela several religions and beliefs converge, among them the catholic, another of them the spiritism and Santeria, the latter being a common thread in the history of Tumi.

In Santeria there are several ways of expressing belief among them is the sacrifice of certain animals such as goats, chickens and in some cases cats.

I am not here to judge the ancient beliefs that still maintain traditions of sacrificing animals but Tumi would be part of a ritual that thanks to certain white spots on his chest made them discard as a specimen since a cat with completely black fur is needed.

Because I made a link between sacrifice with the cat and the meaning of the ceremonial knife Tumi.

Tumi is still a cub. He is about 2 years old and weighs 5 kg. He likes to sleep a lot and play in the evenings. He is one of the best cats I have ever had. In this pandemic season he has been able to de-stress me in a fun and enjoyable way.

He also loves pictures. I consider him to be a good model.
