The Common Societal Folly of America Today

The common folly of today is unreasonablenes rising to prominence.

Yesterday a man was shot and killed by police in Minneapolis. What were the circumstances? Doesn't matter. Reason doesn't matter.

So widespread destruction ensued.

This folly is seen across the political spectrum, a product of a reactionaries fueled by the jet fuel that is the internet.

In Minneapolis, where the left side of politics goes practically unchallenged, we can vividly see the self-perpetuating nature of this trend:

calls and actions to defund police --> surge in crime --> more criminals to pursue --> a police killing in such a pursuit --> more riots and calls for defunding the police...

It's a bad cycle.
