EL REFUGIUM SANT BENET

Yesterday evening we hiked up to the refugium called Sant Benet on the mountain of Montserrat.
About 1.5h hiking with everything in the backbacks we need for 2 days remotely in the mountain.
Late after sunset we arrived at the little church in pitch black night.

After having dinner and some glases of wine we went to sleep quite early.
I slept like a baby, breathing fresh mountain air and having no city noise.
My plan was to record the sunrise, but there is nothing more then fog this morning.

But anyway it is an amazing experience being remotely somewhere in nature.
Because of all this fog, the rocks are wet and our plan to climb the Mummy is postponed for now.

As well my plan flying the drone recording the boys getting up the wall is unsure right now.
But let me show the refugium El Benet, the little church we spent the night in.

The church was built in the 15th century and made from the same stone like the surrounding mountains and bricks.

Space for about 10 people to roll out the sleeping bag.

Small kitchen where Effren and Eva preparing coffee in the morning.

After breakfast and 2 coffees we are ready to get out adventure started.

We will wait now for 1h more and will start getting closer to the mountain called Mummy.
Hopefully wind and sun will clear the fog so we can start climbing up.
Fingers crossed.

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend ahead.
