Human rights abuses in Myanmar continue to be the media spotlight in the world. The oppressed ethnic Rohingya life also adorned the local media in Aceh.

In fact, the story of the Rohingyas' misfortune in Myanmar, is not new information for the people of Aceh. Because, almost 4 years, Rohingya ethnic landed in various locations in Aceh, received a warm welcome from the people of Aceh.

The Acehnese, assessing the Rohingyas, are their siblings. Not because they are Muslims, just like Aceh, but because of the value of humanity.

Aceh has suffered the same fate as the Rohingyas. Yes, many years ago.

Where, before 2005, Aceh was a martial law area. Thousands of residents were forced to leave their villages, to avoid conflict.

Thousands of Acehnese go illegally to European and Asian countries. One of the countries willing to accommodate the people of Aceh is Malaysia and America.

This also makes people in Aceh sensitive to humanitarian tragedy in Myanmar, especially those affecting the Rohingyas. The Acehnese are sad to see the misfortune of the Rohingyas because it is like seeing their fate in the past.

Almost two weeks ago, fundraising for Rohingya, took place simultaneously in Aceh. Citizens from adults to boys donate money to Rohingyas. They want to help.

"No need to be a Muslim to help Rohingya You just need to be human."
