Mango Panna Recipe!

Summers are here and all we want is a cool drink going down our throat and refreshing our soul. There are a lot of flavoured drinks available in market but we should avoid having too many of them since they are rich in preservatives. We can make a lot of those drinks at home. One of such summery drinks is Aam Panna. This is made of raw mango and has a cool refreshing effect. It can be stored for about 4-5 days so you can make in bulk once a week and relish for the next few days. Let’s see how we make this.

Ingredients

• 1 kg Raw Mango (Kacha Aam)
• 10-15 mint leaves
• 2 TBSP black salt
• 2 TBSP roasted cumin powder
• 2.5 cups sugar
• Water

Step 1: Wash the mangoes well. Peel off the skin and separate the edible part of the mango from its seed.
Step 2: Add the mango and mint leaves to a pressure cooker. Add 2.5 cups of water. Turn on the gas and let it cook until 3 whistles.
Step 3: Once the pressure is released off the cooker, add sugar to the mangoes.
Step 4: Blend the mixture in the cooker itself using a hand blender.
Step 5: Add black salt, cumin powder to the mix. If you don’t like a pulpy drink, you can also first strain the mixture the remove all the pulp and then add the spices.
Step 6: Mix well and allow to cool.
Step 7: take a glass and fill half of it with the mixture. Add water abd crushed ice to fill the rest of the glass.
Step 8: Garnish with mint leaves and serve chilled.

You can keep the remaining mixture in the fridge and repeat step 7 whenever you want to drink it.
