It is literally two steps from the railway station to the park ensemble in Pavlovsk. However, this time my daughter and I got here on foot from Tsarskoye Selo, so we didn't need a train. The entrance to the park is free and entering there we got almost into a real forest.
HELP FROM THE NETWORK: The Pavlovsk Palace and Park Ensemble, created in the heyday of Russian classicism of the late XVIII - early XIX centuries, is a monument of cultural heritage under UNESCO protection.
There are paths laid here, but the trees are so thick that you can get lost among them if you don't have a GPS navigator. The path to the Pavlovsk Palace ran for several kilometers and along the way we found squirrels to feed them. There are not many tourists in the park, so we felt like we were in a fabulous dark thicket.
Finally, the river and the bridges over it appeared. From the hill there is an amazing view of another part of the park. A little to the side on the hill is the palace itself, further from which long well-groomed lime alleys lead deep into it. Since all the palaces have a day off today, we missed the tour of the halls. Maybe we'll have better luck next time.
There are several beautiful buildings in the park. Just like the palace itself, everything here is built in the style of classicism. A small steam train rides along the tracks, which drives tourists. We didn't buy ice cream because it was already cool here among the shady trees, but the next days of our vacation turned out to be very hot. От железнодорожной станции до паркового ансамбля в Павловске буквально два шага. Правда в этот раз мы с дочерью добрались сюда пешком из Царского села, поэтому электричка нам не понадобилась. Вход в парк бесплатный и войдя туда мы попали почти в настоящий лес.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Дворцово-парковый ансамбль Павловска, созданный в эпоху расцвета русского классицизма конца XVIII – начала XIX вв. – памятник культурного наследия, находящийся под защитой ЮНЕСКО.
Здесь проложены дорожки, но деревья стоят так густо, что среди них можно заблудиться, если не иметь GPS навигатора. Путь до Павловского дворца пролегала на несколько километров и по пути мы находили белок, чтобы покормить их. Туристов в парке не много, поэтому мы ощущали себя, будто в сказочной тёмной чаще.
Наконец, показалась река и мосты через неё. С холма тут открывается изумительный вид на другую часть парка. Чуть в стороне на сопке расположен сам дворец, далее от которого вглубь ведут длинные ухоженные липовые аллеи. Так как сегодня у всех дворцов выходной, экскурсию по залам мы пропустили. Возможно, в следующий раз нам больше повезёт.
В парке есть несколько красивых построек. Так же, как и сам дворец, все здесь выстроено в стиле классицизма. Вдоль дорожек ездит небольшой паровозик, который катает туристов. Мы не стали покупать мороженое, потому что тут и так было прохладно среди тенистых деревьев, но следующие дни нашего отпуска выдались очень жаркими.
