For some reason it reminded me of my Cuba and the entrances to popular campsites.
On the right hand side there is a secondary path that leads to the same destination as the main walk, only with a different type of foliage and natural decorations. With a kind of small fountain of wishes made with a rustic and naturalistic style where people went to take pictures.
At one point in our walk through the extensive Garden, we found a beautiful fountain of living water and we stayed there for a while, to take some photographs and to feel the cool wind.
Something curious is that, in the hollow of one of the huge trees, there were three cats peeking out. They were very small and the first instinct, obviously, is to go and help them.
However, the caregivers told us that the mother was nearby, she had gone down to eat something and that she would immediately return with her kittens. There was no need to worry.
So, calmer, we took other photos to remember and headed to the other end of the place, right towards the zoo that is located on the left side, inside the Botanical Garden. Before crossing the fence that divides one place from the other, we arrived at a point of sale to buy some spicy Doritos and soda.
So we were ready to continue with our adventure. We paid for the corresponding ticket and entered.
The first thing we received was a scandal of feathered colors, with such beauty that photographs do not do it justice. Macaws turn out to be truly majestic birds.
When we stopped to photograph a pair of toucans, a small monkey that was loose playing and jumping on the roof of the cage, scared us and we preferred to move away, to respect its space.
Right in front was the anaconda cage, but they were all hidden, sleeping inside hollow logs.
The crocodile pond was another impressive thing. Since it was so hot they were almost completely submerged, even so, the enormous size of some of them could be seen, while some brave turtles swam around them.
We cautiously approached the cage of the ocelot or dwarf leopard, but he was practically unfazed by the people who came to look at him. He continued resting peacefully.
In the lake in the photo that I will show you below, manatees live, but as much as we waited to see them appear, they stayed away from people and when they emerged they did so away from that shore and only their heads.
There were various kinds of monkeys, from some small ones to larger ones. The miniature monkeys were incredibly adorable.
On one of the side walls of the place, there was a mural that represented some of the animals that we could find there.
In addition to the animals and the lake, what was most impressive were the enormous trees and varied foliage.
The experience was incredible, we didn't even feel the hours go by, but when we realized it was almost five in the afternoon and we had to return home. Right at the exit I stopped to photograph the little house at the entrance, which I suppose are the offices of the Botanical Garden, because I thought it was beautiful, like a doll's house.

Justo cuando pasas la portada grande de hierro de la entrada, lo primero que te recibe es un extenso paseo, con palmas a ambos lados del camino.
Por alguna raz贸n me record贸 a mi Cuba y las entradas de los campismos populares.
A mano derecha hay un camino secundario que lleva al mismo destino que el paseo principal, solo que con otro tipo de follaje y adornos naturales. Con una especie de peque帽a fuente de los deseos hecha con un estilo rustico y naturalista donde las personas iban a tirar a fotografiarse.
En un punto de nuestra caminata por el extenso Jard铆n, encontramos una hermosa fuente de agua viva y all铆 nos quedamos un rato, para tomarnos algunas fotograf铆as y para sentir el viento fresquito.
Algo curioso es que, en el hueco de uno de los enormes 谩rboles, hab铆a tres gaticos asomados. Eran muy peque帽itos y el primer instinto, obviamente, es ir a socorrerlos.
Sin embargo, los cuidadores nos dijeron que la mam谩 andaba cerca, hab铆a bajado a comer algo y que enseguida regresaba con sus gaticos. No hab铆a por qu茅 preocuparse.
As铆 que, m谩s tranquilos, volvimos a tomarnos otras fotos para el recuerdo y nos encaminamos al otro extremo del lugar, justamente hacia el zool贸gico que se encuentra en el lado izquierdo, dentro del Jard铆n Bot谩nico. Antes de cruzar la reja que divide un sitio del otro, llegamos a un punto de venta para comprar algunos doritos picantes y refresco.
Entonces s铆 que est谩bamos listos para continuar con nuestra aventura. Pagamos por el ticket correspondiente y entramos.
Lo primero que recibimos fue un escandalo de colores emplumados, con una belleza tal que las fotograf铆as no le hacen justicia. Los guacamayos resultan ser aves realmente majestuosas.
Cuando nos detuvimos a fotografiar una pareja de tucanes, un peque帽o mono que andaba suelto jugando y dando brincos por los techos de la jaula, nos asust贸 y preferimos alejarnos, para respetar su espacio.
Justo al frente estaba la jaula de las anacondas, pero todas estaban escondidas, durmiendo dentro de troncos huecos.
El estanque de los cocodrilos fue otra cosa impresionante. Como hac铆a tanto calor estaban casi sumergidos por completo, aun as铆, pod铆a distinguirse el enorme tama帽o de algunos de ellos, mientras algunas tortugas valientes nadaban a su alrededor.
