I can't imagine raising a child to have an unhealthy level of fear for me. It's insane because at the core, they ought to respect us not necessarily fear. But many parents derive joy in knowing their kids

You're also right about people interpreting abuse as love. It's heartbreaking because they often recognize it to be abuse when they've started their own families and it makes it harder to just be better.

If you're someone who has normalized abuse because you think it's a great corrective tool for children OR you grew up in a dysfunctional society, please strive to unlearn it. You will thank yourself later.

Genuinely, I feel she could've handled it better. The boy is just a kid, about 3-4 years old. Nothing he did could've warranted such reaction. It's so unfair. Abuse is never the answer!
