U.S. President Donald Trump expressed confidence in the stability of oil prices on the 2nd (local time).

On the 2nd (local time), President Trump claimed in a midterm campaign rally at the University of South Alabama’s Mitchell Center, "We are working with Venezuela and siphoning out billions of dollars worth of oil," adding, "We will fill our Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) for nothing in the near future."
This is interpreted as an effort to expand the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve using the oil secured from Venezuela.
However, President Trump did not specify when or how the strategic petroleum reserve would be replenished.

President Trump also actively promoted the fact that he had agreed to release a large amount of diesel from the Group of Seven (G7) and Europe.
He said, "I spoke with representatives of the G7 member countries. We are pleased to announce that Europe has agreed to release the diesel fuel it has stockpiled in large quantities, and this will be implemented immediately," it stated.
He added, "Diesel prices are already falling, but we will see them drop further," saying that energy prices will fall even more sharply once the war with Iran is over.
Earlier, the G7 announced that it had agreed to jointly release 100 million barrels of stored diesel and crude oil over the next four months.

First, the war must end.

However, the United States does not have that capacity.
