Good day everyone and welcome to my blog. This post is my participation in edition 1 prompt of the week: Navigating transition and choices
If there's one thing I've learned this year, it's that life doesn't wait for you to feel ready.
As a university student, I've found myself making more decisions than I expected. Some are small, like choosing how to spend my day. Others feel much bigger, like preparing for my Industrial Training, thinking about graduation, and wondering what kind of geologist I want to become.
Sometimes I wish life came with a map.
The funny thing is that every choice feels like stepping into a different version of my future. If I decide to study instead of procrastinating, that's one future. If I ignore opportunities because I'm afraid of failing, that's another. It makes me wonder how different my life could look depending on the decisions I make today.
That's why this week's prompt made me think.
To me, navigating transitions isn't about spaceships or time travel. It's about moving from one stage of life to another without really knowing what's waiting on the other side. We all go through transitions—leaving secondary school, starting university, making new friends, losing old ones, and slowly becoming the adults we're meant to be.
The choices we make during those moments shape us.
I've made good decisions, and I've made some I wish I could change. But I've stopped seeing every wrong choice as a failure. Sometimes those moments teach us lessons we couldn't have learned any other way.
I don't know exactly where life will take me after university. I don't know where I'll eventually work or what opportunities will come my way.
But I'm learning to make the best decision I can with the information I have today.
The future may be uncertain, but that's also what makes it exciting.
Every choice is another step forward, and every transition is another chance to become someone better.
Thanks for reading dear reader💕✨
