Even though the sky was overcast & Florida has been declared the epicenter of Corona virus in the USA, my wife & I decided to head to the beach today with a friend.
Earlier, today, we learned that a former data scientist for Florida DOH was fired, in May, for refusing to manipulate COVID-19 data to support Governor Ron DeSantis push to rush and reopen the state.
Yet, despite the fact that the last 3 days in Florida have been a record high (yesterday, being the worst with over 4,000 cases) the beaches are still open.
So, we left our house with masks on & practiced social distancing on the beach for a few hours. Being outdoors & swimming did us all good (mind, body & spirit). We rounded off the outing with pizza & shots of rum.
