CCC's Street Art Contest # 193 "The Water Molecule" - Miguel RAM, Quinta do Mocho, Lisboa, Portugal

Good evening, friends!

Welcome to another post in the Street Art community!

Today, and perhaps on Earth Day, I'd like to present a piece of work that has something to do with the Earth, and what is most valuable about it...

I want to share with you another fantastic piece of work that I found at Quinta do Mocho. This work, whose main theme is "The water molecule", was created by Miguel Caeiro, who was born in 1976. This artist, whose name is RAM (which stands for Rapid Aerosol Movement), began expressing himself on walls in 1997. He has always been a pioneer of an experimental type of graffiti, of a new vision and of exceptional artistic differentiation. Endowed with an unusual plastic language, his energetic explosions of genometric and dynamic forms bring to street art a contemporaneity and a visionary dimension of an ever-changing nature and a psychedelic nature of ethereal realities. As I've already mentioned, this artist is endowed with a profound dynamic and highly prolific force and is greatly influenced by psychedelic music, the sun and the phases of the moon, cosmic and tidal waves... It's based on utopia and a utopian world, of a human perfection that is always within reach, but always one step away.
When I came across this work, there was another I had seen before that decorated the façade of a vacant building in Sintra, near the Portela de Sintra train station, which I can definitely attribute to him today (post). It's clear that it has the same influences and particular traits (source).

If you look at this piece, you can see that some layers of paint have been removed, giving it a three-dimensionality which you don't find very often in these works. Those who approach the work have a different perspective and a different energy than those who observe it from a distance. And what do you think of the use of other techniques that co-adjoin the painting, taking the work to a level that could not be achieved by just laying paint on a flat surface?
