people don’t want to read very much

Imo, there are special "reading subreddits" - not so many actually - but Reddit users in general prefer just scrolling images.

I know people on Threads like listicles with personal experience. I will try posting something like "I've been to India for 1 year, these are 5 reasons why I hate Indians and 5 reasons why I love Indians". This might work. It's not only controversial but also gives a personal perspective, a human connection I mentioned above, like, "some guy lived in India for 1 year... that definitely sucks, but I want to know the juicy details, it's only 3 am, I'll take a look shortly".

@davideownzall told that the Threads algo loves his blog less lately... And this probably happened to my cat blog too... It can be anything like "we don't give too much attention to new blogs, 1-2 popular post is enough, they should work a while to deserve more" or it can be "these guys only farm likes, they don't build a true connection considering low subscriber count growth and some other metrics".

Without Hivers, my follower count on the cat threads is like 15. That could signal to the algo, the blog shouldn't be promoted. The follower count is low on @davideownzall's blog too. It might be that a focus on a narrower niche would help, maybe. For example, men's rights is rage-baiting and very timely - many men are just tired of the role of the whipping boy. And not many people dare to post about that.
