You should. Exploring social issues... The background can tell the story of this doom scrolling (emotions, news) or any other type of scrolling through colors and scenes on walls and generally around the girl. No need to dramatize I believe - just dark depressing colors and hints and fragments... Probably. Hard to include social and political things in an artwork but it's worth trying... probably.
