We live in a world where we have been programmed to believe that there is only two sides. Often called black and white thinking. You are a Repulsivekin, or a Dumbocrap.

This is not the world, this is how Americans live. Nowadays both parties are decaying, but people keep choosing from A and B only - they are used to that. And as you said

"Since you are not agreeing with me on abortion, you must be a Repulsivekin."

That's why I am just afraid to express political opinions on Reddit - I am not an American, and when I express my thoughts, they don't fit both A-agenda and B-agenda, and everyone wants to kill me, lol. Except for people on Libertarian subreddits. These guys think freely.

Of course, there are true thinkers among supporters of A and B, but they are probably minorities - the crowd, both A and B crowd, is polarized and strictly focused on the agenda of their party. Imho. Saying this all as a foreigner knowing the US only from social media.
