Ode to the Goat
A Sonnet
by wisecrack
My clever goat, you inspire me to write.
I hate the way you eat, look and slither,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the smart zither.
Let me compare you to a nonmember?
You are more tiny, nocturnal and smooth.
Neat fogs hide the oceans of November,
And autumntime has the whatever smoothe.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your discreet legs, thumb and elbows.
Thinking of your discrete thumb fills my days.
My hate for you is the diurnal sows.
Now I must away with a vernal heart,
Remember my kind words whilst we're apart.
