Earthship is temporary solution and concentrating on earthship homes is like favoriting only one thing "Reducing Carbon Footprint". Firstly, Technically speaking (only from my point of view, I could be completely wrong as well), these homes use waste bottles, and thrownaway tyres as their main ingredients for the construction. Secondly these waster tyres include harmful toxic chemicals that overtime get percolated back to earth (pollution again), fumes from these tyres (pollution again), bottles uses in creating decoration for earthship break overtime, and are not easy to replace (cox they are embedded in mud and cement mixture). Thirdly earthship construction enables use of plastic (direct use of pollution in construction of house). Thirdly these so called Earthship houses are heavily priced, with no guarantee for resale. Finally in the event of catastrophic event how you are gonna get our of broken bottles on the floor and burning tyres around you. To summarise this, I believe there are many other good alternative to reduce the carbon footprint. Thank for sharing this video with all of us.
