Hello Alive Tribe and Hive Community!
Today was a challenging day. I didn't sleep well last night because we were having thunderstorms and our dog, Inara. needed to come into the bedroom to sleep. She has the habit of opening her mouth and licking periodically. I'm a light sleeper, so between her noises and my cat, Newt, coming in to eat his dry cat food with a "crunch, crunch, crunch," the night was a wash. Jeff was up early. He sleeps through just about anything. I stayed in bed late to try to recoup sleep. I may have gotten a couple more hours between the floor robots and other household sounds.
When I finally was awake, Jeff and I had devotions over coffee and I checked on my son. His tooth infection wasn't improving, despite the antibiotics he's been on for two days.
We got ready and drove to the emergency room. He was fortunate to get a good doctor who ordered a CT and bloodwork to rule out any more serious infection and he was treated with IV antibiotics, morphine, and a steroid. This took up most of the day.
Jeff and I went grocery shopping after I returned home. I'm already feeling it's bedtime after watching The Lost Boys.
