Are you PRO or ANTI guns?
People who own guns legally are some of the most knowledgeable, law abiding, safe gun handling U.S. citizens I know.
How many other nations in the world have a WRITTEN AMENDMENT that allows its citizens to rightfully own guns?
I live in California. If you are a gun owner and you live in California, you know the deal. Living here, it seems like they place more and more and more and more restrictions on the types of firearms you can own.
They can't make them illegal, not just yet, but they can keep you from purchasing them and keep you from purchasing ammo. OR they can make it hard as fuck to do either. OR they can make it expensive as fuck to do either. OR they can make it impractical.
These rules regarding firearms are horrible. The justification is that firearm regulation reduces crime. How? We are regulated to 10-round magazines, sporting rifles cannot have pistol grips, flash suppressors or adjustable stocks. The CA government is trying to PUSSIFY our guns. Why in the world would someone committing a crime use a PUSSIFIED legally purchased gun for a crime?? They wouldn't. So why place such stringent restrictions on law abiding citizens who already have a CLEAN record who legally purchase firearms and are taxed to hell in the process? Who is being hurt here? Not the criminals...
The 2nd Amendment is the most important amendment because it allows us to ENFORCE the other amendments. The government shouldn't have that much control over us! The government cannot own weapons and at the same time RESTRICT US from owning weapons. That is oppression. The government should serve us, not the other way around.
How many dollars in taxes did you pay today? That burger that I thought cost $5? Well I paid 9% to the government. Without a choice. Without even thinking. Tax is just the norm. Shouldn't there be a boundary about what is acceptable for a government to ask from the people?
Own a gun. Be comfortable around guns. Learn to use the gun. Learn to shoot the gun. Don't let the government tell you that GUNS ARE DANGEROUS! It is not the gun that's dangerous, it's the IGNORANCE that's dangerous.
