Fusion is my compositor of choice these days for my freelance projects beating out Nuke and after effects simply because it's a commercially free program. Its not a personal edition like nuke. Its a FREE edition - meaning you can use it for commercial work. The program is the one i've been using on movies like RED PLANET, SIN CITY, and a slew of others in my career.
So give it a shot - grab it here -

then when you have questions join my face book group that covers fusion

It does everything the other compositing programs do - but it has a nodal interface - and once you wrap your head around nodes, you will love it way more than after effects photoshop like layers.
(its' still layers, but its represented by nodes - and the masking is way more understandable)
THere are some restrictions with the free version vs the production studio version - like third party plugin use, render farm, gpu support, and stereo scopic 3d. The majority of the tools are availble and 85% what you would use every day.
finally - this FREE version supports 4k output - thats right - 4k, not just HD. THey have not crippled it in any meaningful way leaving you to do feature film level compositing and color grading FOR FREE!!
so start learning about film compositing - its useful for editing as well - in fact it has an editor program pairing which is also free called davinici resolve
download that for free as well - a bit better than premiere but more bare bones. Its interactive and highly responsive.
Edit your you tube videos with it and increase your production quality.
here it is here -

between these two programs you can create stunning youtube videos - or professional 4k content as well as HD.
enjoy
