Even if you have made the design changes to the original image and made it a derivative work, I don't see any evidence in the https://news.bitcoin.com to say that you have the right to use the image as a derivative.
Can you please explain your basis for using the image which appears on the face of it to be copyrighted and so using it would be in breach of copyright even if you provide a link to the image?
