A wise fellow once said, "I saw the enemy and the enemy was us."
There's another bit of folk wisdom: People tend to become like the people they hate.
The purported "land of the free" made a cottage industry out of hating totalitarian regimes like Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union.
Ironically, it's becoming harder and harder to distinguish the USA from the systems they claim to despise.
The Third Reich featured an unholy alliance between government and big business. Present America's government seems to be owned and controlled by corporations. Recently, states have literally become sales agents for insurance companies. One ad says "out best salesmen aren't even on the payroll" and shows police terrorizing drivers by demanding "license, registration and proof of insurance."
Proof of insurance?
So now cops are, in actuality, working for the invisible banks (insurance companies). A person who doesn't succumb to the coerced and forced insurance extortion (so-called no-fault insurance) is now threatened with arrest and other state-sponsored terrorism.
The old aforementioned regimes use to have check points all over the cities where they demanded to "see your papers. Where are your papers?"
America now does the same. They claim they are using them to protect the populace from drunk drivers, but they use them to search cars, make arrests and confiscated goods to fuel the artificially bloated criminal justice system.
Next they'll be confiscating your car if you lack "proof of insurance."
Too many old Nazi's hid out in the USA intelligence services after World War II. They've infected America with the communicable disease called fascism.
As America pushes its brand of democracy (rule of the corporation) on the Middle East Americans had better start protecting the little bit of democracy that's left inside the USA.
