Hola mis queridos amigos de #NEEDLEWORKMONDAY es un gran placer saludarles, hoy uno a este concurso con un proyecto muy especial, en esta oportunidad abrí un espacio para mi hermoso hijo perruno Marquito, este viejito gruñón ha crecido y engordado, por lo que es muy oportuno el tema para este concurso, los que me conocen un poco, me encanta el reciclaje y sobre todo me motivan los concursos si el jeans esta incluido jajajaja, tuve días pensando en que hacer para esta ocasión, pero que mejor proyecto para mi que este, hacerle una pechera a mi hijo, ya que la anterior le quedaba apretada, fue entonces que decidí hacer algo útil, bonito y con mis propias manos para él, es una manera de demostrar mi amor, a continuación les comparto el paso a paso, espero les guste.

En esta oportunidad, el protagonista del concurso es el jeans; tiene muchas historias para contar, en mi caso, el lunes de esta semana hicimos un paseo en familia al río y yo corte las piernas de un viejo jeans jajaja, lo transformé en un short para bañarme; esos retazos hoy son parte de mi trabajo. Los materiales a continuación usados fueron: Tela de jeans, tijeras, cinta métrica, marcador, aguja, hilo, broches, y una estrella para decorar.

The materials used below were: Jeans fabric, scissors, tape measure, marker, needle, thread, clips, and a star to decorate.

Primer paso: Tomamos la tela de jeans reciclada y cortamos las costuras, luego con una regla, marcamos una línea recta para cuadrar el trozo de tela que vamos a utilizar.

First step: We take the recycled jeans fabric and cut the seams, then with a ruler, we mark a straight line to square the piece of fabric that we are going to use.

Segundo paso: Una vez lista la tela, con la cinta métrica, marcamos 4 centímetros de ancho para sacar varias tiras como se observa en las imágenes.

Second step: Once the fabric is ready, with the tape measure, we mark 4 centimeters wide to remove several strips as seen in the images.

Tercer Paso: Una vez listas las tiras, comenzamos a coser, luego las volteamos y planchamos, Luego de haberlas planchado, procedí a cortar una tira de 50 cm, dos de 35 cm y una de 18 cm.

Third Step: Once the strips are ready, we begin to sew, then turn them over and iron them. After ironing them, I proceeded to cut a 50 cm strip, two 35 cm strips and one 18 cm strip.

Cuarto paso: Primero tomamos la tira de 50 cm, y colocamos el broche o hebilla la cual cosemos y ajustamos a la tira. Ya lista esa parte, tomamos la tira de 18 cm y la fijamos a la cinta de 50 cm, en todo el medio, haciendo un dobles y cosiéndola. Luego medimos una distancia de 10 cm y fijamos la primera tira de 35 cm a la punta de la tira de 18 cm, colocamos el aro de metal donde se ajusta la correa de la pechera y cosemos como se muestra en la imagen. Por ultimo tomamos la segunda tira de 35 cm y la fijamos cosiendo de las dos puntas de la primera tira de 35 cm a la base que es la tira de 50 cm, para finalizar, se le coloco la estrella para darle un toque especial a la pechera de mi querido Marquito.
