OK guys welcome to day two of my steemit Challenge.. Surprisingly yesterday I was able to move from 12 followers to 20 followers.. That's impressive if you'd ask me. Anyway it's days two so I have another interesting article for you.
So the thing is in every 10 steemit profile I look at,lets say 7 out of them are making one of the mistakes am going to outline here today. That's if they are not even making all of them.
Some of the mistakes are pretty basic and anyone with common sense should be able to dodge them without being told (no offense). The first few days I was on steemit, I actually was making the same mistakes but I hurriedly figure it wasn't helping. Ok let's have a look at some of those mistakes.
BLIND FOLLOWING
OK so you're new on steemit and it's only natural for you to need followers. But hey that doesn't mean you'll follow every person you bump into in the homepage. Before you follow anyone, you should have at least looked at the post that person has written, does it have value, is it something you'd want to read more of? Then you can decide if you want to follow them or not. Don't follow people just because you want to increase your follower numbers it doesn't help your steemit reputation.
FOLLOW FOR FOLLOW
This is what Annoys me the most. Every steemit group on Facebook has a post saying follow me and I'll follow back... What does this even mean. Most of the times such promises are never fulfilled. You just end up blindly following them and helping them increase their followers but yours remains the same. Don't follow anyone who doesn't have any positive contents to offer.
MAKING LAME COMMENTS
OK so because you want to be noticed therefore you comment on every post you see whether positive or not. That's an error. Before you drop a comment make sure its a good article and the comments itself must be a positive one. Don't comment because you want people to follow you.
So if you're making one or two or all of this mistakes then please have a rethink. The best way to enjoy steemit it to be yourself and try to enjoy what you're doing. Try and out aside the idea of making money just enjoy what you're doing.
