Ingredients
馃尛 2 kilograms raw white sausage, homemade as per author鈥檚 recipe
馃挧 2.5 liters water
馃 1.5 teaspoons salt
馃尶 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
馃寛 1 tablespoon mixed/colorful peppercorns
馃崈 4 bay leaves
馃崿 2 teaspoons sugar
馃尠 1 flat tablespoon allspice
馃 5 cloves garlic, roughly chopped or crushed
Instructions
1- Boil the Water:
- Pour 2.5 liters of water into a stainless steel cooking pot.
- Add salt, mustard seeds, mixed peppercorns, bay leaves, sugar, and allspice to the pot.
2- Prepare the Garlic:
- Roughly chop or crush 5 cloves of garlic.
- Add garlic to the mixture in the pot.
3- Infuse the Spices:
- Set the pot on a gas stove and bring the water to a rolling boil.
- Allow it to boil for approximately 10 minutes to infuse the spices.
4- Add the Sausages:
- Carefully place 2 kilograms of raw white sausage into the pot.
5- Steep the Sausages:
- Turn off the heat immediately and cover the pot with a clear glass lid.
- Let the sausages steep in the hot, spiced water for exactly 20 minutes without heat.
6- Serve the Sausages:
- After 20 minutes, remove the sausages from the pot using a fork.
- Serve on a light blue ceramic plate.
