Demand for eggs is not 'heavy'. The supply of eggs has been wrecked by government eradicating hundreds of millions of laying hens with phony claims of 'bird flu' that hasn't killed a dozen chickens AFAICT. Reduced supply has the same inflationary impact on price that increased demand does.
