I really admire your willingness to engage sincerely with folks you disagree with. Your sincerity and heartfelt principles are disarming. I think Karen hasn't calmed enough yet to get around to trying to understand why she's being DV'd, and is still defending her babies from a tiger in the grass. I think if she understood why you care about KE, and given her post about building up her account, she might be able to commit to HODLing stake instead of spending it. Also, I hope you keep considering my point that folks that want Hive to succeed really want Hive tokens to be money - and they're not money if we can't spend them. Then also consider that people with less access to money typically find it necessary to spend the money that they can access, at least statistically they have far less savings than folks with greater access to money.
You have wisely espoused balance, and there's a need to have balance regarding spending Hive for this reason. However, I think Karen might be able to commit to refraining from spending all her rewards for a set time, or towards a certain endpoint, if she can, and maybe you could refrain from DV'ing her as long as she fulfilled that commitment - which would help her to lower her KE. I REALLY hate to be in the middle of this, but I know you bear her no ill will, and I don't think she believes that, because she views you as taking away her access to money and accounts that a harm to her. So I think if she understood KE and why you care about it, she might be able to understand you aren't just being mean to her, but are trying to good for Hive by convincing her to lower her KE.
If that is actually your goal, that may be a way to achieve it, and for both of you to learn from each other at the same time.
I'm going to step out of the conversation now which should be between you two, because I know better than to be in the middle, LOL.
