You've done some considering about what's coming to the cities, and I agree. However, you seem not to have well considered how they're going to purge the wildlands - presently rural areas - of the noxious nature killers living there. They'll put intolerable pressure, first economically, and then through a variety of zoning and travel restrictions that will make rural living impossible.

They're not going to give anyone any option other than bugpods in 15 minutes prisons.
