Well, it's not nothing, but it's also less than I can give if I wait until the full 15m mark. If I upvote a comment after about a minute, my small $0.1 vote will be practically worthless.

The thing is that the author also get nothing if I upvote before this point. So there is not even a point to upvoting anything before this mark.

That's the idea. I hope we get to this point where people actually begin to manually curate, because that would be incredible for the blockchain when it comes to getting new users and getting them to stay

Ouch, that sounds pretty dangerous. It's a good thing that they are using Steemconnect at least, so it will be a bit more difficult to fake a phising site if users make sure to see that the Steemconnect

I think this is a good chance, at least from my perspective of upvoting posts whenever I see them, and not trying to maximize my curation rewards. There are so many times where I have wanted to upvote

I'm typically just trading altcoins for Bitcoin, then selling bitcoin for my local currency. It's a bit of a hassle, but it's not that annoying after I have done it a few times and gotten used to the routine.
