A Glimmer of Hope
Hopeful, yet tired
Of scraping by each day
The world's getting brighter
But I'm still lost in the fray
I see the light shining
But it's not reaching me
Am I the only one left
In the dark, unable to see?
I hold onto the hope
That someday I'll break free
From the chains of poverty
And live abundantly
But until then, I'll keep pushing
Through the struggles and the pain
Hoping that one day soon
My efforts won't be in vain
For now, I'll hold onto
The glimmer of hope in my heart
And continue to fight on
Until the darkness departs.
