Hi, Steemians!
This is my application post to become an Utopian-io moderator.
My name is Valentina, I'm 19 years old and I live in Caracas, Venezuela. I'm a Computer Engineering student, I'm interested in STEM, education, politics and I really enjoy learning about other cultures. My native language is Spanish and I'm fluent in English; I have a TOEFL iBT certification of proficiency in English, scoring 105 on the test. I've also started learning a bit of Korean and French.
I joined Steemit almost three months ago, hoping to find here a place to share my thoughts and engage with the community. Shortly after I found about Utopian and I decided to join the initiative and support open source projects. For me Utopian is one of the most successful projects in Steemit, not only because the amount of steemians who are involved but because its noble mission: helping open source developers to make their ideas come to life.
I've contributed in the translation tag several times, and I plan to start helping in other categories such as tutorials and graphics.
Another thing that made me take the decision to apply for a mod position, is the fact that most of the contributions on Utopian comes from the translation tag, and I believe that with a bit of extra help the amount of "pending to be approved" contributions could decrease significantly.
Finally, I would like to join the utopian.io’s moderators’ team:
Category: Translations.
Field of Expertise: Computer Engineer student, fluent in Spanish (mother language) and English (with a TOEFL iBT certification of proficiency).
Supervisor Nominated: @ruah
I hope to be part of the team very soon :)
