The problem is Hive is more or less like a open market communism chain.
1 Hive 1 Vote would fix the power to vote in everything you want and sets priorities.
It also makes it uninvestable for everyone. Because you buy the virtual supply too.
Math is also simple, you mentioned economic refugees. The question is " they use it as money" or " they want to earn money and spend it".
One is net positive, the other net negative.
Next Problem is, DAO apps make no money. No " pay back" and no accounting.
Its not like " we need this to make XYZ in return". Open source funded this way is a huge waste of money. It should be at least a foundation to build on top for profit.
Edit: Well and since 3spk lost all token balances, it makes also no sense to contribute to 3spk as a hive user. Most likely dead too.
I never thought hive would die this way, but i would not wonder if supply 2-3x really fast and infrastructure shuts down. It feels like not a single dev is here for passion that wants DAO money, just for some $ ( not even earned by market).
